Military Medical Commission – a commission of doctors that conducts a medical examination, based on which they determine the health suitability for military service of conscripts, servicemen and those liable for military service, establish the causal relationship of diseases, injuries (injuries, contusions, mutilations) with the defense of the Motherland/performance of military service duties/completion of military service, and determine the need for continued treatment/rehabilitation.
In peacetime, when determining the appointment of a reservist or a person liable for military service for a special period and including him in military teams for manning military units (institutions), they undergo a medical examination, based on the results of which such persons are issued a certificate with a conclusion on their suitability for military service. The validity period of such a certificate is five years.
Reservists and conscripts who were assigned to man military units (institutions) in peacetime with the delivery of mobilization orders during the mobilization deployment of the Armed Forces and other military formations are called up for military service during mobilization, for a special period based on the results of previously completed medical examinations and their questioning about the presence or absence of complaints about their health. Reservists or conscripts who have no complaints about their health are not sent to the military medical commission for a medical examination.
Persons who have not undergone a medical examination or whose decision (resolution) on fitness for military service has expired are referred to a military medical commission.
Citizens of Ukraine who are on military registration and who, with the entry into force of the Decree of the President of Ukraine on the announcement of mobilization, have arrived at the CCC and the SP to clarify their registration data, may be sent for a medical examination by handing them summonses if there are grounds for undergoing a medical examination in accordance with the information contained in the Unified State Register of Conscripts, Military Conscripts and Reservists (in particular, in the absence of a valid decision of the military medical commission on the degree of fitness of a conscript for military service during mobilization, for a special period and/or during the legal regime of martial law and/or the presence of other grounds provided for by law), and also sent for such an examination if such citizens independently expressed a desire to undergo a medical examination.
